The ten things worth knowing before you reserve, and the honest list of what is still undecided. Where something is not settled this page marks the gap rather than filling it with something plausible.
Ora, in plain terms
Ora is a computer built for running AI agents. It sits on your desk, stays on, and runs the Ora experience. The AI models your agents use run in the cloud, through a provider account you connect — Ora is the machine and the software, not the model.
There are two devices, Ora Core and Ora Mini. Both are designed and assembled in the United States.
Because a tab closes. Most AI work happens in a window that disappears the moment you walk away, with the results scattered across sessions and nothing running while you are gone.
- A device that stays on, on your desk.
- Your files and your provider keys kept in one place.
- Scheduled work that runs without you sitting there.
That is the whole argument for owning the hardware. If a browser tab already does everything you need, you do not need an Ora.
Four steps, once: your Ora arrives ready to set up with nothing to assemble; you plug it in and follow the setup, with no terminal and no configuration files; you add the AI provider key you already pay for, which stays on the device; then you create agents, schedule automations and review what they did.
After that it is a machine that is simply on. More detail is on the technology page.
Ora AI OS is the software that comes with the device: a home for your agents, the work they produce, and the automations you schedule. It is what you see when you turn the machine on, rather than something you install afterwards.
Both devices run the same experience. The difference between them is how much room you have to work, not which features you get.
Version numbers, update cadence and licence terms have not been published.
Software release detailsNot published
Ora does not run AI models on the device. It runs the software experience locally and keeps your files and keys there. When an agent needs a model, that request goes out to the cloud AI provider you connected, using your own account.
So you do need a separate AI subscription. Your provider bills you directly for usage, and Ora does not resell AI usage or add a margin to it. Which providers Ora will support at launch has not been published.

Same experience, different headroom. Ora Core is the entry model in a tower enclosure. Ora Mini is the higher configuration, with twice the memory and twice the storage in a compact enclosure.
- Ora Core: Intel N95 · 16GB DDR4 · 256GB SSD — $499.
- Ora Mini: Intel N95 · 32GB DDR4 · 512GB SSD — $699.
Target configuration, pending hardware compatibility and BOM approval. Not a final certified specification. Side by side on the products page.
Reserving, and what you pay
A deposit, and it is different for each device. Ora Core's deposit is $25, which is the lowest in the range; Ora Mini's is $63. The deposit is part of the device price, not a fee on top of it.
- Ora Core: $499 device price — $25 deposit today, $474 due on delivery.
- Ora Mini: $699 device price — $63 deposit today, $636 due on delivery.
In practice you pay nothing today. Payment processing is not enabled on this site, so no deposit can be taken, nothing has been charged, authorised or held, and the reservation flow collects no card number, CVV, expiry date or billing address.
The rest of the device price, cash on delivery. Cash on delivery means the balance is intended to be paid when the device reaches you rather than up front: $474 for Ora Core and $636 for Ora Mini.
- Ora Core: $499 device price — $25 deposit today, $474 due on delivery.
- Ora Mini: $699 device price — $63 deposit today, $636 due on delivery.
Deposit plus balance equals the device price, with nothing added for reserving early. Shipping cost, taxes and duties are not included and have not been published, and how the balance will be collected has not been published either.

The reservation flow records which device you want and an email address to reach you on. That is all it does. It is not an order, it does not hold a unit, and it does not create an account.
Because there is no backend connected yet, the request is held in your browser for the length of the visit. Ora will open reservations properly once payments are enabled, and you will submit again then.
No. Payment processing is not enabled on this site. No payment has been taken, authorised or held. The reservation flow collects no card number, no CVV, no expiry date and no billing address, because there is nothing connected that could use them.
If any page ever appears to ask you for card details on this site, stop and tell Ora.
Shipping, specifications and manufacturing
Ora is planning first shipments for January 2027. That is a planned target, not a guaranteed delivery date, and it may move. Ora is still at reservation stage, so presenting it as a commitment would be a guess dressed up as one.
The first production allocation is 5,000 units, of which 1,245 are reserved and 3,755 remain. That is a point-in-time figure supplied by Ora, not live stock.
Confirmed ship dateNot announced
Ora is a United States company and the devices are assembled in the United States. Which countries Ora will ship to, and what shipping will cost, have not been decided.
Shipping regionsNot decidedShipping costNot decided
Ora has given a target processor, memory and storage for each device. Target configuration, pending hardware compatibility and BOM approval. Not a final certified specification. Networking, ports, dimensions, weight, power draw, acoustics and warranty are still open, and the product pages show those as placeholders rather than estimates.

Final certified specificationNot published
Ora devices are designed in the United States and assembled in the United States. That is the commitment, and it is the reason the manufacturing page exists.
Ora has not published which facilities or suppliers it works with, so those are not listed anywhere on this site.

Trust, warranty and support
The fair answer is that Ora is a young company at reservation stage, and you should judge it on what it is willing to say plainly. So here is the plain version.
- Both prices are confirmed and stated the same way everywhere: $499 and $699, with deposits of $25 and $63.
- Nothing has been charged, because payment processing is not enabled yet. This site cannot take your money even if you ask it to.
- No card, CVV, expiry or billing field exists anywhere on this site.
- Shipping is a planned target of January 2027, described as a plan rather than a promise.
- Everything undecided — warranty, returns, certifications, facilities, shipping regions — is marked Not decided instead of filled in with something plausible.
What Ora has not published, it does not claim. There are no certifications listed, no awards, no customer numbers and no investor names on this site. More about the company is on the about page, and the terms will carry the binding version once reservations are real.

The warranty has not been set. Ora has published no term, no coverage detail and no claims process, so none is stated here.

There is no published return window yet. The terms will carry the policy once it exists, and the privacy policy covers what happens to the details you give.

Use the contact page. Be aware that the form there is not connected to a mailbox yet, and the page says so plainly.
A support email address, a phone number and a postal address are not published, so this site shows those as unresolved placeholders rather than listing anything. Inventing one would be worse than the gap.
